We
offer three distinct methodologies of working to our clients to
fit their particular needs and circumstances to help them meet their
software development requirements most cost effectively in India,
thereby increasing their profitability:
You may contract a project to us giving us the specifications.
We will do the software development at our software development
center in India and give you the finished product.
You can hire contractors through us who will be located at our
offices in India who will report to and work closely with your
project manager or lead programmer. Communication is very efficiently
done over the Internet via email and it works out great while
reducing your cost by more than half. We prefer 1 year or longer
contracts but will contract people out to good clients if it is
for at least 6 months. The cost includes the man hour rate plus
the overhead including the office space, computers etc.
For larger clients we offer a dedicated software development center
with your own location, security and dedicated personnel. This
involves no investment or trips to India on your part, getting
the land and building and setting up a team of managers and programmers
over there and yet, you can benefit from the lower costs and tremendous
programming talent that India offers. We will do everything for
you including getting the people hired. The bench rate includes
the rates for the technical staff, supervisory staff on the India
end, all office and equipment costs and overheads. You would save
at least $1.5 million annually having a 30 programmer facility
in India versus in the United States while keeping the quality
of the operation the same. For a 100 programmer facility the savings
are in the range of $6 million annually.
How
does Mantec consistently deliver better products—faster than anyone
else?
We rely on our proven methodology to break down projects and engagements
into small, manageable, and rapidly deliverable phases.
Phase
1—Scoping Study
Purpose:
The Scoping Study allows us to lay a framework for the project by
defining functional requirements, assessing priorities, and coming
to an understanding on the overall project approach. The Mantec
International team conducts a series of meetings with key executives
from the client company to answer the following questions:
What is the vision for the project?
What are the requirements for this project?
What are the critical success factors?
What are the business drivers and benefits?
What is the process impact?
At the end of this
phase the Mantec International team will hand over the following
deliverables:
Vision and critical success factors
Requirements matrix showing project phasing and milestones
High–level technical architecture
High–level interface and conversion plan
High–level implementation plan
Phase
2—Design
Purpose:
During the Design phase the Mantec International team develops a
detailed design for the system, user interface, reporting functions,
system integration, and technical architecture components.
At the end of this
phase the Mantec International team will hand over the following
deliverables:
High–level design
Low–level design
Detailed Technical Architecture
Screen and Report Specifications
Interface Specifications
Overall Testing and Roll–out Plan
Construction Work Plan
Phase
3—Development and Testing
Purpose:
The Mantec International team develops and unit–tests the components
specified during Phase 1, including the application and database,
reports, data migration programs, and interface programs.
At the end of this
phase the Mantec International team will hand over the following
deliverables:
Fully developed application that conforms to specifications
Documented plans and results for System, User, and Operational
tests
Updated design specifications
Phase
4—Deployment and Knowledge Transfer
Purpose:
This final phase ensures that the project is fully deployed and
all knowledge of the project is transferred from the Mantec International
development team to the client.
At the end of this
phase the Mantec International team will hand over the following
deliverables:
Comprehensive Technical and End User documentation
